ホノルル海さくら　HONOLULU UMISAKURA>

2012年の9月頃から、東日本大震災の津波で流された漁船や残骸が、
海流に乗ってハワイの海に漂着し始めました。
今更ながら、海は一つでつながっているんだと強く感じました。
僕はハワイの海が大好きです。
世界中の観光客を、地元の人達を、結婚式で来た人達を、仕事で来た人達を、
全ての人達を受け入れてくれる器の大きいハワイの海が大好きです。
そんな懐深いハワイの海に少しでも恩返しができたら。
その想いをゴミ拾いという形で、
これからハワイの海に少しずつかえしていけたらと思っています。
小さな行動の積み重ねが、日本とハワイの海をつなぐ
一つの架け橋になっていければと思っています。

From September 2012, debris from Tsunami caused by the Japan earthquake
in 2011 start to arrive in Hawaii.
It surely reminds me that the ocean is connected.
I love Hawaii and its ocean.
They accept the tourists from all countries. They accept locals.
They accept couples having their wedding here.
They accept people visiting here for business. They accept everybody.
Hawaii’s ocean always accepts us with its big heart, but what can we do for it?
Beach cleaning can be a way that we can show our Aloha to Hawaii’s ocean.
I hope these little steps will add up to a big bridge that connects Japan and Hawaii.
